On Saturday, October 4th the growers met at Florence Street Community Garden. Although rain threatened throughout the afternoon, the growers gathered and shared the bounty from their plots. The table overflowed with chips and salsa, pasta with pesto, and vegetables from the grill.
At the Barbecue, Kathleen introduced the two Tufts University students that will be working with the growers this fall to build a website for Everett Community Growers. The students will collect stories about gardening and recipes from from the growers, which will become an integral part of the website.
